Cutler to Chicago

April 2, 2009

Minutes after posting about where Jay Cutler would end up, I was very surprised when I found out that he went to Chicago.  The Bears have been in desperate need of a consistent winner behind the center for years, and the Windy City has just hit jackpot.  The Bears somehow beat out the Redskins, Jets, and twenty three other teams that expressed interest in the franchise quarterback.  This immediately puts the Bears amongst the NFC beasts, and should make for a thrilling 2009.  The Bears gave up quarterback Kyle Orton, and first round picks in 2009, and 2010.  In the short term this is a huge win for Bears nation.  For Denver’s sake, I hope those first round picks mature very quickly.
