Sean Miller to Arizona

April 7, 2009

After months of speculating who would take over at Arizona for the legendary Lute Olson, Wildcats athletic director, Jim Livengood announced on monday that Sean Miller will take the helm.  The coach at Xavier for the past four years, Sean Miller was probably the best coach on the market.  Last year he led Xavier to an elite eight appearance.  The Musketeers gave number one seeded Pittsburgh a run for their money in the sweet sixteen this season as well.  Not only does he bring instant credibility to Tucson, but he eases the minds of Wildcat nation.  Last week it was declared that USC coach, Tim Floyd had accepted the Arizona job.  He ended up getting cold feet at the last second, and deciding it was wise to return to southern california.  After a sweet sixteen run this season, Arizona is expecting stars, Jordan Hill and Chase Budinger to head for the NBA.  Next year will definitely be a rebuilding year for the Wildcats, but give Sean Miller a couple years, and he will have Arizona back at the top of the pack.
