NFL draft will get crazy

April 24, 2009

There is much speculation heading into the draft tomorrow revolving around quarterbacks and receivers.  There is a high demand for both positions around the league, so don’t be surprised if there are some blockbuster deals pulled off within the next twenty four hours.  Receivers Anquan Boldin, and Braylon Edwards are on the trading blocks, and the entire NFC east is interested in both of them.  USC quarterback Mark Sanchez stock has risen considerably over the last few weeks, and the Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, and Washington Redskins have all expressed interest.  The number one pick will most likely be Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford, but if a deal cannot be worked out before the end of today don’t be shocked if the Lions select Wake Forest linebacker, Aaron Curry with the first pick.  This could be one of the craziest drafts in recent memory because there is so much uncertainty at valuable positions around the NFL.
