Lebron to be named MVP

May 4, 2009

The inevitable is finally about to happen, Lebron James taking down the 2009 MVP award.  For awhile there was talk that Dwyane Wade, and Kobe Bryant were in the running, but this was really a one man race the entire latter half of the 09 campaign.  Averaging 28.4 ppg, 7.2 rebounds, and 7.6 assists, combined with helping the Cavs gain homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs made Lebron a shoein for the MVP.  At some point today, it will be announced that King James will win the ever so coveted award.  However, Lebron has other hardware on his mind.  The Cavs host the Atlanta Hawks tomorrow night in the second round of the playoffs.  In round one, Lebron and his boys dismantled the Pistons in four games.  The Lakers and Cavaliers are heading for a collision course in the finals.  One step at a time, and in his sixth NBA season, Lebron has one goal left, to win an NBA championship.
